Friendly Friday Photo Challenge – Day Trip…

Friendly Friday photo challenge hosted at Manja Mexi Moving and Something to Ponder About, delivers the theme “Day Trip “ this week.

Day Trips are perfect getaways when short on time. Exploring somewhere new or revisiting a favourite location within a reasonable distance, can result in an enjoyable day.

This was one of my favourite day trips taken on our last vacation in Italy. Exploring the Northern regions of Italy, we ventured up to Dolceacqua within the Ligurian hills. This alluring medieval town with it’s unique humped bridge, captured my heart.

  1. Oh yes, what a gorgeous town! Now that I wished to add it to my list of places to visit, I see that it’s already on it. 🙂 A bit far away though.

Closer is a similar stone bridge in the middle of nowhere that we found by chance. Here is the post about it: https://manjameximovie.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/wpc-mind-the-bridge/

(Oh, just a little correction. In your link to my blog it says Maja. It’s Manja. Thank you!)

  6. Wonderful, I can never tire of seeing photos of Italy. My mother just came back from Florence, she was visiting her cousins. The first thing she said was, “I love my hometown so much, so beautiful, so full of art and architecture! However, too many tourists.”

    • Same here. I can easily look at old photos and relive those special memories every day.
Florence is simply stunning, but I agree. At this time of year there is too many tourists for sure.
It’s lovely she revisited her loved ones. 😍
